Think of a kayak cart as a dolly specifically designed for moving your kayak from your car or storage place to the water.  Instead of carrying your kayak, you will use the cart to roll it to your destination.  Look for one with heavy duty wheels, good straps, a compact design, and a kickstand.

Based on my experience, the best kayak cart money can buy is this one. 

The wheels can't go flat, it's heavy duty, compact, easy to use and worth every penny. 

After much research and trying a few that didn't work, we ordered the winner on amazon and though it's a little more money, it actually works, is stable and even my kids can now transport our kayaks to the water. 

It makes the awkward job of moving an awkward long kayak as easy as rolling your suitcase through an airport...or pretty close.
